Question rotors...

I'm putting together a big brake upgrade using the Supra TT calipers & TRD SS brake lines. What brand rotors do you guys use, I know CmputerWhiz has drilled on, So i'm wondering what fitment rotors go well w/ the Supra TT brakes...

Thanks.

John

PS: We all know slotted & drilled are for looks, unless you do autocross....

Hey guys,

Seriously, I can probably beat any price out there for any kind of rotors.

Obviously, Brembo will cost more than no name rotors, but I can probably get it all.

Get pricing from whomever you like, PM me or email me Tony@lexussc400.com with their price and I'll tell you how much I can get them for.

I can also get them any way you want them, drilled/slotted, slots only, drilled only, or blanks.

Let me know,
Tony

Best rotors are stock. I have been hearing that fancy crossdrilled and/or slotted rotors are unreliabile and worthless. Best is to get big brake calipers and big non-slotted or non-cross drilled rotors. People who have been at a track will prabably back me up (Clint?).

Default I think the problem is...

The problem is people drill out rotors that werent meant to be drilled out, or it is drilled out improperly. This creates micro fractures and stress points on the rotors making them crack prematurely. If you want cross-drilled rotors then you should buy cross drilled from the shop, not cross drill it afterwards.

I'm gonna be using stock supra TT brakes, TRD brake lines, Stock pads, & stock rotors.

Be careful w/ rotors that are "drilled from the shop" The best kind are the ones that are forged with the holes in them -- they're made that way... not hole-punched like class handouts... after the fact.

Tony, If I did go aftermarket, I'd let you know... But I'm working for a Toyota & Lexus Dealership, so it's cost+10%... Thanks for the offer, and if anyone asks about rotors cross drilled or slotted rotors, i'll send them your way.
