What will you get after SC? (seriously)

As style trends come and go, the clean *SUBTLE* cars will always be respected.
This is where cars with classic shapes (like the MKIV supra, FD RX7, Z32 300ZX, etc) will always remain classy with just a drop and some decent wheels (I also like them wingless).
If you look at the modern bimmer crowd, wild examples are few and far between. Most value the "clean" look, and as the Fast and Furious days fall away, so will the bodykit/wing/poke/stretch looks.
I'll take a classy muscular (and possibly boring) shape over some of the "look at me" stuff any day.

Love the FDs. Please, whatever you do, don't put a LS1 in it. I love the sounds that rotary engine makes!

I had a 98 540i/6 sport. It was a boat. A fun boat, but a boat nonetheless. The 330i ZHP I had was much more fun... lacked some the torque, but made up for it in connectivity.. much better driver's car.
That being said, my next car will be a 335Ci. I work for BMW though, so parts/service are basically free (or close to it). Really though, the only problem they've had is fuel pumps, and the latest revision seems to be working well. You gotta love a car that with BPU and a tune can make 430whp/430wtq, run 11's, get 26mpg mixed, and still have all the safety, convenience, and luxury features of a modern heavy automobile.
They're not too bad to look at either..

That's who I want to be someday except I'd rather still be 20 driving the SC instead of 50+.

The difference in weight between a fully dressed rotary (turbos, IC, etc) and an LS1 is ~60lbs. Once you move the 40lb battery to the trunk, the weight distribution is not noticeably different than a bone stock RX7. Stock RX7 is something like 50.1:49.9 and the LS1 powered cars done right are 50.3:49.7
Besides "heritage" or "uniqueness" there really is nothing the rotary engine does better than the LS1.

I'm in your same camp for sure- at first I really want a 460. But as I looked at them I realized they were trying to make their flagship luxury sedan into a sports sedan- that's what the GS is for. However they're just following suit- look at the current S class and 7 series. The 7 series hasn't lost it's touch as much but the S class? Not feeling it. So instead of waiting to get a 460 i'll probably get a 430 later this year.

I'll be done with school soon as well (as civil engineer). I wanna get 335 coupe, always liked how it looks and handles. See the thing is, when you graduate, it's not like you're going to get hired as CEO, and make tons of money right away; you have to build your career. So, getting 911 turbo could get some time lol.
But, i think im going buy a newer SC to seriously mod (probably will still keep my current SC since it was my first car). And i want a IS350.

This argument doesn't belong here, but since I own an LS1 FD, I'll make a quick correction on this misinformation.
