Go find a hx30/hx40 (40 better) the 30's are old cummings turbos, cheap and easy to find. With your ge motors redlne, that turbo will work well for quick spool and decent top end power. Those turbos are pushed upwards of 60psi on those older diesel's (no **** right?) You will find your GE opens up nicely with good fuel and 12 or less psi. It is internally gated, do not use it internal gate! You will need to get a 40+ mm external gate to keep the ex presure down. You can also get a set of rx7 injectors and keep your stock rail without having to wire up a resistor box. Here are some years with *High Imp*
A safc2 /neo etc will control the 460's or 550's easy.

doesnt matter what engine you have. a cheap crappy turbo is simply that. and to frankdms input, you DONT need a 40mm WG, a 38mm or 36mm will suffice, along with any high impedance injectors.

Im running a GT4088 on my SC (2JZ-GE) right now with a set of Lucas 440cc's and even with the worst, most pig rich "tune" the car moves excellent, very little lag, and I got the turbo for $500 with less than 500miles on it.

Stick to my advice, check out Supraforums.com classifieds, and start reading on Clubna-t.com about some experiences with different turbos/injectors/etc. There is tons of information, and plenty of parts for sale, and although I am already na-t, I am constantly doing more research and shopping for parts..and when I say constantly, I mean every day for ATLEAST 5-6 hrs a day.

Stick to the forums classifieds, stay off of Craigslist (atleast for important, crucial turbo parts) and you will find the right deals.

I have a SC400 and planning on a single turbo. Is a manual swap necessary or can I do the turbo and work my way to a manual swap and a LSD swap?
