New owner 1998 sc300 and swapping the cd changer!
Hello all,
Picked up a 98 sc300 two weeks ago and getting accustomed to it. I've owned an 01 gs300 for 6 years and love the lexus quality. I don't have any pictures when I first bought it, but it is renn. red with immaculate interior. I have a couple of items sitting in the garage ready for this holiday weekend (ls400 brakes, toyota window visors, is250 rims to clear the brakes, and BC coilovers).
The only problem with the car was that the cd changer would not work. I searched and found that the older es300 cd changers were an alternative plug and play option. Just to let everyone know, it does work and doesn't skip or have any problems.

Why bother with old technology? Hardwire an Aux input and you're done; it's even cheaper.
Cd changers are still good in my book. I think a 15 dollar cd changer and 5 minutes to plug in was a better option for me. No running wires and after everything is said and done, it's OEM.

The measurements for the changer is roughly (LWH) 11x8x3 . Not sure if it can fit in the glove compartment, but the changer I have is a front loader instead of the SC top loader. Basically the same length, a little bit wider and 3/4 as thick as the SC changer.
Also, the ES I pulled the changer from was a 95. So maybe whatever years had that body style. The main thing i was looking for was to make sure it had two connectors, a 10 pin and 6 pin connector like our SC one.

Appreciate the warm welcomes. I'm from Houston.
Here are 2 pictures of the recent add-ons to the car. I was too lazy to put on the coilovers but I did manage to half-finish a home depot lip, ls400 brakes, and mount the IS wheels.
*sorry for crappy pics, had a couple of minutes of free time at work so did quick snapshots*
