cars shouldn't be any higher than $1,500. It would take a good sign company
8-12 hours to wrap a vehicle of our size. Multiply that by your average labor
rate (my area is $85-90 per hour). Wholesale pricing on Avery or 3M matte black
vinyl is roughly $400-500. Some sign companies will double this cost cause they're
snakes. Buy the material yourself, a few felt squegees, heat gun, spray bottle for
water, and get a buddy that can help for a few hours. If you are a novice and
started on a Friday night, I bet you could be done by Sunday before work on Monday.
If you're in the local DC/metro area, I can help out. I've been doing this for a long,
long time and will be opening up a graphics shop in July

I think the flat wrap looks great. I havent priced it here though. My buddy has a sign shop & has a machine that will do wraps but he doesnt do them. Of course if your doing flat you dont need that machine. I used to tint windows years ago, I wonder how easy the wrap shrinks with the heat gun. Could be worth doing it yourself If you had skills & some buddies.

I guess it depends on your area, out here in LA you name a car and there is a matte black version rolling around, its beyond played out. They have such crappy paint jobs it killed the whole idea of that color. Ive seen other colors popping up and they look real nice. Saw a matte red m3 and a matte orange z06 and they looked real good. I like the look of the vinyl wrapped ones.
