Hey Guys,
My AC light starts to blink when I start my car and the AC is on. During this time there is no cold air coming out. Then I turn the climate control off. Wait a few minutes and everything is fine when I turn the AC on.
Compressor, leak, charge...?
Has anyone had these symtoms before? By the way, I have a 93 SC400, 100K miles. Hopefully it is a quick fix. Any help is much appreciated.
Scott

When A/C compressor clutch is engaged an ECU monitors rotational rate vs engine speed, if they don't match diagnostic light blinks.
Drive belt slipping or clutch worn out. Since you don't say anything about squealing noise a belt would make and with 100k I would vote for compressor clutch.

I was affraid of this...
What I can't figure out is why when the car is in drive and running for a minute, that the problems go away. This actually started about a month ago. It has just been hotter here and is bothering me more.
Now that you mention it about the belt. I do hear something that could be a belt. The noise is very slight now but sounds like somethnig is spinning or rotating slightly irregularly.
