Mann-Filters are the new OEM?????

Default Mann-Filters are the new OEM?????
I thought Toyota OEM filters were made by Denso? I purchased a fuel filter at Toyota on Friday and the model number on the filter is MF 1016. I decided to cross reference it on google and it comes up as a Mann - Filter..........I have never heard them, any thoughts?

Something is making feel uncomfortable about this OEM filter......

German company, OE on quite a few European cars, basically it's them and Mahle who have a tremendous chunk of the euro filter market.

HMM so im guessing BMW uses them then. I had no idea them made parts for Toyota.....

I'm sure BMW uses them. Denso (WHich is owned by Toyota last I heard) makes plenty of parts of European and US cars, so does Bosch, etc.
