1 day 2jz-ge overhaul
The SC got some much needed love this weekend.
Major thanks to Omar and Bart for helping me knock this all out.
I couldn't have done it without you guys, especially not in 1 day.
Parts:
TT Motor mounts
TT Cylinder Headgasket
Arp Headstuds
Timing Belt
Tensioner assy
Idler pulley
Cam seals x(2)
Crank seal
Gasket waterpump
Water pump
Valve cover Gaskets
Distributor O-ring (until I go coil on plug very soon)
Starter rebuild kit (contacts were worn down).
Powerwashed engine bay, powerwashed various engine parts, primed and painted block with high temp 2000 degree flat black paint.
valve seals are on hold due to not having the right spring compressor.
something for others to keep in mind trying to do the same thing.
Good thing the head looked in great shape so Ill change them with the cams next year.
Apparently 9psi of boost on stock compression for a year has had no ill affects on my internals.... ill let the pics speak for that.
enjoy some pix of the dissasembly, we had a flash rainstorm hit us at around 6pm and we were so busy working i forgot to take any more pics.
I do have a final shot I took today, but I will upload that later tonight.
She runs great and doesn't leak a drop of nothing. Time to up the boost I guess...

Thanks man, I will have to find some time to get that done.
She is running great, buttery smooth engagement with the new mounts man.
I feel like it was more me helping you... lol. You have some mad engine skills.
I gotta do something about these intake temps with the summer heat, and the boost will be turned up.
I wanna check out your ride man!! try not to sell it be4 I see it j/k

Did you take pics of the motor mounts lol?
About the AIT sensor the only solution is FFIM that's the next thing on my list, i will just bite the bullet and get one of those.
I wish you were there when we pulled the motor out so you could take some pics of the engine bay and the engine b4 they got clean!!!
This one aint going nowhere if i sell it i am getting out of the GS/SC/Supra world and i will just buy a civic haha.
