How do I go about doing this? I only have hand tools aswell. I used the started method to get it off, now I can't figure out how to get it back on tight.

the best way is with a chain wrench, cheapest way is to borrow someones chain wrench. thats really the only way withpout an impact.

Make a tool to hold the pulley in place. It shouldn't cost you more than $20 to do it or, invest on the right tool. The chain wrench is a good idea but make sure you do not damage the pulley itself. That will be a much bigger problem if you do heheheee.

This is the right tool Schley 64300. or make one similar. All you need is a hard steel plate. 1 big hole in the middle about 1" and 2 small ones on each side for the long bolt to slide in and bolt to the pulley.... Oh, and I suppose a long handle bolted to the plate for countering.

If you are replacing the serpentine belt as well, you can use the old one to wrap around the crank pulley and slip a breaker bar through the belt to contact the sway bar and frame. Make sure you wrap the belt counter clockwise since you are turning the bolt clockwise. It will take a couple of tries to get the correct amount of friction. Works in a similar fashion to the plate steel if you don't have quick access to any special tools.

Whoa..thanks good2go.. thats way better than how I had described it LoL.... Now to make one for myself. I did invest on the 64300 tool tho. Thats just because i'm addicted on having the right tools hahahahaa

I bought a chain wrench, I have no way of cutting a hole in steel like that, I'll just wrap the pulley with parts of the old serpentine belt to protect it.

I took it to a dumpy looking muffler shop and paid the guy $5 to torch through it. Took all of 2 minutes.
