Nice.Another DIY'er.

I've been working on my Swap solo (in my SC400) for about 3 months now.Similar setup. 440's 57trim D/M Single ,SAFC etc etc - R154 though.Mine Finally Runs now.
I know My damn 440's are RICH as Hell so I can only imagine Yours once its up and running.I think 550's are plenty for your goals.

*everyone Seems to put a Hose and "U" it on the Upper water neck.Just Yank out Those Nipples and Close em up/paint over (JB Weld Stick is The Shizzle).
Or thread em and Put 2 bolts in There. Most likely will get in the way of the Intake anyway.Just a suggestion.I kinda wish I would have Just Threaded In my water temp Sensor RIght there in stead of in my Upper hose.

Good Luck - Subscribed

I got the intercooler mounted. but the piping is kicking my ***. I might have to bring it some where the get it done. The angles and clearances and all the lines in the way on the driver side...is overwhelming...lol

I ended up doing my pipping myself. I had to cut a hole for the pipping to go through the pass. and driver side. And I had to toss my battery for a honda civic battery to make room for the piping but it works. I'll probably have someone do it over after i get my car running. I'll Post pics soon.

I also jumped the resistor in my cluster and while the cluster was out I painted my cluster needles(most of them were burnt out) with some of my wife's light blue reflective nail polish. yea its ghetto but I'm broke and it will get the job done.....looks great to me...but we'll see how it looks in the dark while i'm driving
I'll post pics soon also.

I'm getting ready to crank on the 4th of july!!!!!!! Wish me luck!

Yup.My Full manual 1JZ w/ ECU did not even need The NSS Bypass (doesn't mean yours doesn't have to have it but just FYI).Turned over 1st try but didn't crank once I got it grounded Correctly.

Did you use the entire Starter harness that came with the engine?

make sure ALL your grounds are GOOD!

You might wanna consider raising your intercooler...when you put your bumper on it will sit a little lower than the bottom of the bumper the way you have it. If you hit a nice dip, bye-bye intercooler. Trust me, I have personal experience with that =P

whats the lowest the intercooler can be from the bumper support. Can i get some measurements from someone?

If someone can tell me I can adjust it now and change in IC piping if necessary.

Well it all depends on what bumper your using.mines about right where yours is but running a vertex bumper and I don't want any space between the bottom of the core and the lower mouth.may want to test fit the bumper over it to make sure but I think you will be fine.

Sounds like the fmic is the least of your worries.
