So after almost a 4 month wait my Carbing STB finally came in, and I installed it right away. I did have to cut off about half an inch off the master-cylinder stopper screw for it to fit, but surprisingly it went on pretty easy after that..
I've got a few questions about it though..
I was reading on a really old thread about this STB that for some people it would not fit over the engine cover, mine fit BARELY, as it sit just on top of the cover. I did use the washers that came with it, which gave it that extra little bit of clearance. But, someone mentioned that they specifically didnt use the washers, as it takes away from its functionality? Is this correct?
Also, the instructions said to leave the master-cylinder stopper 0.04 inch away from the actual master-cylinder. I was unable to do that as it fits RIGHT up against it. Should I be concerned? You would think in order for it to work properly it SHOULD be sitting right up against the master-cylinder, right?
Finally, I DID NOT need to raise each side of my car to get it on, it came on sorta easy, but with some mallet-love. What does this say about my car? Perfect fit means good chassis (no sagging or something?), or does it mean that my chassis has sagged outward allowing it to fit easier? Lol, or does it mean nothing at all?
Heh, anyways heres what it looks like, my first official mod! Woohoo!! lol
