I been looking around for a GTE motor and saw this in the classifieds:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...mines-ecu.html

Im looking at this engin and wanted to know if it will drop right in my 93 SC300. I know that there are front sumps and rear sump engines, ours needing a rear sump. By looking at the pics, is this the rear sump that I need? What do ya'll think about the rust?

Another thing is that the seller says that the ECU is a 6 spd Mines ECU, will that ECU work with my W58?

Techically it is a drop in and techically its not.. Its a JDM Motor as well. ANY SWAP u will need to buy alot of extra little things on the way. The price is good tho, but be prepared for "WTF I NEEED THAT ALSO!?" and that is quiet a bit of rust.

Whats good is that it has all the parts for the sequential turbo system from the pictures I saw.

That motor is a front sump so youll need to swap it out to a rear sump. You will need to switch the flex plate and its bolts as its pretty rusted and do a front and rear main seal change while your at it. The harness is cut so youll either have to buy a new one and then rewire the harness or pay a crap load to have someone repair and rewire the harness to fit the sc. I bought my motor from jdm engines corp for 1900 shipped. The motor was pretty decent. Uncut harness, good compression test (changed hg anyways), came complete basically.

You should be able to switch your oiling system from your GE over to your GTE- you'll just need to tap your pan for oil return
