tranny FLUID
If you insist on changing tranny fluid then go the whole route and use ONLY what Lexus recommends.
If nothing is in the process of FAILING in your tranny, and you haven't already, and don't plan to, overheat the fluid by towing too great a load, then your factory installed fluid should be good for at least 120k miles.

Tranny fluid should be changed every 20 000 km
Esp if the car is new because the tranny has a "break in" period as well. (Not as harsh as engine though)
If i'm I remember correctly Lexus Tranny's only take ATF Type IV.

tranny oil
Thanks guys for your suggestions. I would not want to touch it if it is still red. I remember I had an old corolla 1979, and I never knew there was such a tranny oil change, until a friend's mechanic checked the tranny oil level and it was not even on the stick. He filled it up and said if it wan't corolla I could have killed the transmission; but that was then when corolla was meant build to last. I don't think the new ones are that great any more if you don't maintain it right. Just my short story. Thanks
