When I read cut springs I facepalmed, not only is it bad for your struts, but isn't it not as safe as well?
Even Tanabe SPRINGS would have been a better idea, they only cost $200-300 new?
Anyways.. just wondering what cars you've owned in the passed and your age? :P
Wheels.. well, they look good. I'm not hating, just like the previous posters have said, offsets and sizes make a difference. Anyways, I hope you don't get discouraged from all the bashing and continue posting, it's just that sometimes people are a bit too open with their opinions. Just try to save up some money and get something that will benefit you in the long run. Sure, you cut your springs for free, but now you're going to change the struts sooner? Long run > Short Run.
Good luck.

Where are the mods when you need em?
jks
It's understandable that people on the forums spend their money the way they do... so many cars on here look like rolling artwork (beautifully sculpted guards to fit tight wheels with insance specs, paint and interior work, bejeesus amounts of engine work you name it) and I'm sure that most people here appreciate that kind of stuff. Some people, such as myself, have a family and a mortgage to look after before mucking around with cars. Do I envy at least half of the cars on CL and wished mine looked similar? Hell yes. Would I go out and modify vital stock parts for the sake of looks, absolutely not.
+1 for doing it right. There is nothing wrong with modding on the cheap. Sounds a little cut throat but there is a right and wrong way to modify... and (in this instance) I'm not talking about wheel specifics nor knock off parts, that's your decision.
To the OP... Firstly, please replace the cut springs. Not only is it the nasty way to lower the car it's just unsafe. I assume that you cut the stock springs? Secondly, I really do hope that your current bashing hasn't discouraged you from the forums. There is a LOT to gain from here, mostly in the right direction.
Personally I'd spend the money on maintenance and up keep on the car first. It'll save you a lot of hassle in the long run and lurk through the classifieds for any decent goods (the cheapest way to do it imo).
