MAF sensor... isn't that on top of a huge valve after the air filter? If so, I unplugged it, turned on the car- nothing changes and nothing gets worse. Car is not smoking.

2 minutes isnt always enough. Some cars/ecu's can hold a "memory" status up to 30 minutes. And resetting the ECU is a good way to tell if the ecu is bad without opening it and possibly damaging it anyway.
As for the spark plug wires, that could be part of the problem, but the fact that the car is throwing 6 codes is making me scratch my head.

Just unplugging the coil packs does not properly check them, when I was fixing my friends car with the same issue, I unplugged them one at a time and the engine wouldn't start, then I tested each one with a coil pack that I knew worked, turned out to be one of the coil packs, but I had went through and changed all the plugs/wires anyways. Don't touch the coil pack wire when the car is one either, learned that the hard way.

Got it fixed.
I opened my distributor to find it completely shattered and broken apart. Replaced it, along with its cap, and everything went back to normal. Seems like there were no sparks which made some of the cylinders not work.
I appreciate everyone's responses, timely feedback, and general help with the car. I also appreciate all you fellow Rockville ppl welcoming me!
And you, boy, who mentions Toyota on 355- my cousin Joe used to estimate for Darcars and knows all those boys out there. He told me to go to his friend that works at Toyota bc he knows everything about Lexus- but I never went.

Lexusdad: Sorry for the late reply. My problem was a heater hose leak at the rear of the block. There was a split in the hose, and water was running into the back spark plug valley (SC300). This caused a misfire of one or both of the back plugs (5 or 6). Cleaned everything up, new heater hose, new plugs and wires, and it is running like a top.
I rotate which gas I run in the car. I have Exxon, Shell, Chevron, Valero and Conoco/Phillips very close. All 93 octane, this particular tank was Valero, but had NO bearing on the problem. I run a can of seafoam about every fourth or fifth tank, this is my daughters car.

Nomis: Your plug wires may be bad. They become brittle with age and crack. The crack can allow it to arc out to nearby metal. For a quick check: make sure all the wires are visible - i.e. remove the plastic cosmetic covers to expose the wires and start the car. Make sure you do this at night or in a dark location such as a garage. If they are arcing you will easily be able to see it. Cover up the crack with some good electric tape and get some new wires ASAP. Let us know what you find.
