Default Steering issues - any ideas?

Guys,

Having some issues with my steering. Just replaced the steering bushings, pump seems to be working fine. When the car is turned off the steering responds correctly when you turn it from side to side.

However, as soon as you start the car and turn the steering wheel it is unresponsive, and then it finally catches up and turns...

So the issues only happens when there is power. Does this sound like a bad rack?

Hmmm.. that's the problem mine was having, but after some new rack bushings, all was good.

If you do end up needing a new rack, I have one for sale.

Thx man... In the past with the same symptoms it has always been the bushings that fixed the problems. Unfortunately not this time.

I have an entire parts car sitting in my garage but thank you for the offer

Progressive Power Steering.

I was looking into that first before I ordered my bushings.

I think the PPS sensor is in the resevoir, and the PPS ECU is behind the glove box.
