Default dash deassembly

How do I take my dash apart so that i can make a switchboard in my ash tray below my stereo?

do you know this one lex?

do a search under radio install or something like that. there's PLENTY of threads about this. Very helpful. you don't need to take apart your whole dash, jsut the center console to get to the radio and ash tray. i've taken out my radio plenty of times.

here is the order...

Gear shift **** by putting car in neutral and then pulling lower collar and pull 2 screws

Cup holder by pulling up - held by spring clip

Shiftplate by reaching under cupholder whole and pushing it up. Held by 4 or so clips. Once you get the back side up...easy deal

Finally unscrew and snap off entire cover assembly.

there is a real good tutorial on removing the console on the LSOC web site. should be under fixes & repairs...has pics and everything! it's not very hard to do, esp. after the first dozen times
