Default egr valve replacement

my check engine light came on with the code p1401 i think and it is egr flow insufficient. i have a GE engine and really do not want to modify it a lot becuz i plan on doing a swap soon. so instead of doing an egr block i found a cheap egr on ebay. but it says it is for a 92 sc300. will this fit my 96? it is the same engine so is there a difference?
