Thanks guys for the awesome support!!.....she was for sure junk yard material. but she has a good engine and the tranny shifts like a dream (even though if everything goes well tranny will be gone W58 or R154 we'll come instead) and suspension is pretty good, springs and shocks are solid...it was just all of the other little things that messed her up!!

ok Update....Trunk shocks just got here, this weekend installation process pics (boring i know, but it makes me happy to improve what the previous owner neglected)

and rear brake pads also!

Haha, that was one of the first things I did to both of my cars was trunk struts. I could stand not having that work. Looks like your off to a rolling start. And theres nothing wrong with buying a really screwed up one and going from there. My dd red car was in unbelievably ****ty condition. it had 190k miles on the original T-belt, everything was leaking, all the bushings were bad, it had cut springs on blown struts, leaking exhaust, melted cats, cracked brake lines, radiator was cracked in numerous locations... needless to say it was destined for the junkyard as well. but it just takes time. good luck!

well more progress done to my car.

blacked out the tailights...i have to apply another coat.

did a little body work it had a dent on the right fender...got it out sanded and ready for bondo

bondo applied, ready to be sanded.

sanded and ready for primer, I already order the paint...will be painted by the weekend.

ok and i was getting bored with the silence and comfort of a muffled silent exhaust..so i went to the muffler shop and took this off.

and put these on...now it sounds a little bit more agressive and the performance increassed a little. ( i am going to change the oem silencers for flowmasters)

also i am getting all those leaks taken care off.

ok so more updates....

so I had a bad job on the left rear quarter panel....and it was about as bad as i thought it was going to be. but luckly the rust din get the sheet metal all the way so a really good sand job got it taken care off. also y had to bang the **** out of it to get it to come out because there was almost 1.5 inches of bondo on it.

this is how this masacre looked like...yikes.

this with the bondo appied to it after i banged the **** out of it it's going to take time and finess to get the original lines, but all I got is time, and love for my car. so i will work on it until they look just perfect.

oh i also got a couple chips on the paint in the front bumper.

a lot more work to come..and all will be documented.

...THANKS for the positive comments i LOCE my whip!!!

i am thginking about making my car in to a daily D/drift car. (just a thought) so the first big MOD will be 5peed conversion. I love JZ's engines.....but after i took the pre silencers off the car....OMG I have a new found love for my 4uz...so until it blows....that will be my choice....oh and I am also either welding the diferential or getting an Aristo LSD. we'll see.

what?? just that plastic piece(no way). great that you have some kind of body skills(i don't) and it's late now but they sell those tailights on ebay already blacked out(iam going to get a pair). are you going to swap out youre seats for some aftermarket ones?? the oem's weigh a ton. and geting them reskinned isn't worth it imo..

and why are you doing exhaust work when youre going to jz it?/ are you planning on running a dual exhaust??
