Pissed off at Tanabe!
Hey guys so today I installed mytanabe nf210 springs. Yes i know they aren't the best but i figured for the time being they would be fine. I expected these springs to atleast take most of my fender space away. Any ideas why it didn't even come close. It looks like stock ride height. Some people are saying there is a break in period to where it will lower more. I have only ever done coilover and decided to save some money right now and just do springs. Let me know if i didn't do something I should have, and don;t say you bought tanabe springs thats what u did wrong. Thanks guys maybe yall can help.

Haven't gotten around to doing it...I have yet to make a 35 minute drive from where I live to order it from one of their dealers and then have to wait for about 5-6 months for them to make it and then ship out here when their shipments arrive...don't know if it will be worth the trouble.

I'm running Tanabe NF210s on Tokico Blue's. I am satisfied with how they are, as I didn't want an obvious drop. They've settled in and it has a better stance but still rides like stock but handles better. Did you expect the NF210s to dump the car? It advertises as about a 1" drop all around give or take (web specs is 1.2" and 0.9" F/R respectively)
Break in period for me was probably 6 months if I recall... not sure.

they are just springs.... with no adjustability or anything. You skimped on buying what you really needed, what did you expect?
Really, you have 3 options. drive on them hard for a while and in a few months they will settle to maybe 1/2 an inch lower then what they are now. OR you can take a single wheel off at a time, and jack the car up with the lower control arm making sure the car begains to lift off the ground. Then take a torch and heat the springs to make them sag a little more. the car will ride like *** but you will get the lower effect that you expected.
or 3, Cut your loss's, realize you should have saved your money untill you have enough for coilovers and do it the right way next time

If you are still unhappy after the brake in period, just cut one coil off the spring itself. My buddy did it to his and it sits a bit better with the nf210 on his 1sc . Ive done it to my 2 supra's with eibach springs works just fine

right on. I knewit wouldn't lower it that much. Just expected to see some difference, even an inch. I will post pictures tonight. The rear lowered nicely. Beleive me I know what springs can do, just use to coilovers. I was mad as hell yesterday but getting over it.
