Default best way to clean engine air filter?

besides buying one is there an alternative of cleaning it?

Personally, if I can't simply shake it off, I replace it.

replace it. unless its a K&N, cleaning an OEM filter is like flipping a condom inside out and using it again, just isnt a good idea.

Yeah! Replace it if it is a stock replacement. K&N then buy the cleaning kit.

Yeah, definitely go with a K&N filter.
