Default Where can i get a good body kit for my 93 sc400!!!!!

Does anyone know where to get a good quality body kit for a reasonable price for my 93 sc400?

What do these kits usually sell for?

Ive found a place that sells a kit in my area for $500.00 but I dont really care for the style.

I am scared of ordering one online because of all the frauds and rip offs.

I am back and forth in the Toronto/Buffalo area.

On the other hand I see some kits going for well over a $1000.00 or $1500.00.

What do i look for in these kits? Name brands? Material used? etc...

Any advice would be a big help.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

you should try autocouture, but Shine Auto makes a good knock off kit (w/97+front bumper)...so i've heard or you can get a duraflex body kit made by extreme dimensions(its a knock off also but the quality is not that bad at all and is very flexible).

in my opinion i think the sc looks good in the 97+ body style dropped and maybe with a lip and some nice wheels. just my opinion

+1, I agree, they look best with the 97+ ground effects. If I had to go with a kit, it would be from AC.

depending on your budget, you could go either form Ebay knock offs to importers form Japan that bring the Vertex ones that are like the top notch ones so I've heard. it's up to you...remember that the cheap ebay one you may have to install them with zip ties because the fitment is not that great.

Well.. that's a kinda vague question.

What kind of kit do you want? How much do you want to spend?

To be honest I dont know much about the body kits.

There are alot of them that look good to me but i do not know the name of them or where to buy them.

I would spend a thousand bucks if the kit was a real nice one and good quality.

Get a kit, sale the garbage 97+ front bumper, then profit. If you can find a clean 92-94 front lip that is.

You need to do more reading then. If you're willing to spend no more than $1000 only for "real nice and good quality"... there are very very few options.

Search the forum for body kits. The Google the reviews from each company and then you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Do you have anything else done to your car? Putting a body kit on a stock SC (unless it's a 97+ kit) is going to look insanely bad. You need suspension and rims before you slap on a bodykit.

Far as brands to check out.. Auto Couture, Vertex, Big Win (need 97+ kit for that)

Yeah, body wise you need suspension and wheels before you go with a kit- Stock body with good suspension and wheels is really nice, you may be surprised at how you like it. Also what is your paint and install budget after you get your body kit? You have to factor that in

I have some 20 inch chromes on my car which look great.

My suspension is stock and I can do all the painting on the kit and car myself.

What do you guys mean by "97-kits and bumpers"?

Do you mean get a body kit from a stock 97 sc? Or is this the name of a certain kit?

And what does a good kit go for? Well over a thousand?

Thanks

Thanks guys I am looking into a vertex kit.

They are more expensive than I was hoping to pay but they look amazing.

I guess you got to pay for quality no way around it.

Thanks again

Good luck to you man, that's a great kit . What are you using to paint it yourself? Have you done it before? Body and paint is the one area I haven't gotten into yet that I'm really interested in
