high idle issue please help

Exclamation high idle issue please help

so i took a 30 min drive to my aunts and when i got there and put into park. it idled to 2100 rpm. so I checked the oil and its half way on the dipstick, which is fine and but i cant figure out why it would idle so high I also checked the tps and its all the way to counter clock wise btw.


any ideas?

Check your IACV. You can usually pull them off and clean them, if that does not work replace it.

.. This is after you fix your TPS issue.

true. but regardless, the TPS isnt in the proper position, therefore its sending an incorrect voltage reading the ecu, thus possibly part of the problem.

true, ima start there and then move on to the iacv valve. thanks guys. This may sound like a noobish question but where is the iacv on the 1uz?
