Been having some problems with my power antenna. Latest development is that when retracting, it doesn't know when it's down. It bottoms out and then grinds the gears for about 30 seconds. For now, I just ran it up and then disconnected the power to the motor. Second, I get terrible reception for AM radio. I don't know if this is because it's a power antenna with the mast being sectioned or what. I was thinking about getting a fixed mast to fix both problems, but if anybody knows if just getting a new power antenna would fix the AM problem, I may go that route.

 

I have a functional antenna and I still get NO (loud static) reception on all AM stations.
