How Many SCs Are DD and Used on Road Trips?
#16
before my swap, mine was my only DD and i made a few trips from Indy back to NJ during the summers. Went without a hitch each time.
Im trying to get my swap up to par so i can start using it as a summer DD and make some road trips in it.

My 160,000 mile '95 SC400 is my daily driver. I work about five miles from my home. Just in the last two mouths I drove it on two road trips without any problems. In June I drove it from Richmond, VA to Philadelphia, PA, and this month form Richmond, VA to Columbia, SC. This last trip I averaged 23 mpg; not great but not bad for a 16 year old (car registered in 1994) with a 4 speed auto and in need of a tune up.
Good luck!

my SC400 has 249,699 miles on it, original motor, 2nd auto tranny. Daily drive it rain, sleet, snow or shine. some times i will drive the truck, but only to run errands when i need parts for the SC. Even choose the SC over the truck in 2 feet of snow.
not even 2 weeks ago, i drove it from the middle of PA, to the coast in NC (14 hours) then down to Atlanta (another 8 hours) then all the way back. Not a single hickup, no problems, nothing. she sat pretty at 2.8K RPMS the whole way to the coast, only went threw 1 tank of gas

Put at least 40miles a day on the SC, more like 75-100 if I go to Austin. 1JZ gets great gas mileage off boost. I'm thinking about trying to find a sc400 3.92 ring gear though...
Only problems so far were my fault..

92 sc400, 180k miles. Daily drive it 50 miles back and forth from irvine to cal state long beach 4 days in a week.
Will go to vegas with the car next 2 weeks and hope nothing goes wrong. (300 miles one way).
I'm only worried because of my stance (slammed an tire tucked), not mechanical wise.

My 92 SC300 with 123k miles and it is my daily driver and recently took it on a road trip from LA, CA to GA near out of nowhere... almost 3000 miles... had to ship it back... not because my car was bad... but too tired of driving alone...

My '97 SC400 is my daily driver . . .just broken in at 77K miles. When I flew from So. Calif. to Dallas to buy it last Sept., I immediately drove it back home. Great road trip car. Want to take another long drive soon.

Drive my car daily... Have owned it since Dec, 2000 and has 175K on the clock. It has about 10K since completely revamped. When it was stock I drove in from NY to FL non-stop and no problems what so ever. U used to also drive back and forth from MD to NY regularly. Car still runs like a gem!
