thats a good point..i was swapping a 92 odometer to a 95 odometer(believe or not the 92 that i own has 139k and the cluster i bought has 211K) after swapping it still shows 211K ![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
so i guess its something more complicated then just a quick switch..knew it was to easy if that were the case.

hey good news..i found out how to swap the odometer today....
not responsible if this goes wrong..but this is what i did..
it worked as far as the miles went but did not light up my needles anymore..the reason i believe is because the 92-93 cluster is different from the 94-96..(i had a 92 cluster and swapped parts to a 95) anyway..
the odometer info is stored in the pcb..which if you take off the white plastic piece the board there..thats what you need to switch out..im guessing the 97 and 99 clusters are the same? if so this will probably fully work for you..if not then im not really sure..
hope this info helps..
i did this to mine like said and the odometer was reading 139k like before however like said the needles wouldnt light up so i switched the boards back and everything still works im just stuck with an odometer reading of 211k
