Is it legal to tint ones windshield in Florida? Seems very dangerous to reduce visibilty throught the windshield. Any drivability issues?

damn! looks good but good luck seeing anythig at night! maybe i'm alone, but I like to be able to see those crown vics and anything else that might require me to know what's going on!
I have 5% on my side windows and i have to put the windows down and stick my head out every time i need to back up at night.

as far as the limo tint..usually its hard to see at night if your in a dark area..ie i live in the woods pretty much and down my street theres no street lights and visibility is very low in these conditions..i use to limo tint everything front windshield and all..im definitely against it now id rather have the higher visibility at night then a darker tint for the day..thats just my opinion..
Good post. In Florida there are laws regarding window tint. Police will use that law to make stop, things are progressing from there...
Quick search of the net regarding law:http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/FL/

I bet it would help a ton out in Florida. I used to live in Texas and I live in Oklahoma now and you need 25% tint or lower if you want your car to stay a tiny bit cooler. A lot of the guys in my local car crew have limo tint all around and 20% on the windshield. It looks good, but it's dangerous without HID's and well lit areas.

That's actually a really good deal compared to out here in Oklahoma. Llumar is some of the best tint you can buy. It's totally worth it.

It's usually alright to have a four inch strip at the top of the windshield in some states. Having the entire windshield tinted is completely illegal in every state unless you have medical reasons or other special circumstances. I would recommend getting a 5% strip at the top and 35% the rest of the way down to make it appear that you did not do the entire windshield.
