Default How much did you pay to get an SAFC tuned?

First off i have a 93 sc300 with a 1jz, I just got done installing a MP 60 trim with .68 ar housing, high flow fuel rail, 550 cc domestic injectors, AFPR kit. and Apexi SAFC II. I previously had a fmic, 255 walbro, 3 inch turbo back and a wideband data logger. So i contacted the only local tuner in my immediate area to see how much it would cost to get it tuned, and hes telling me its going to be 500 bucks for a dyno tune. This seems pretty steep to me, especially because ive heard of people tuning them by themselves. And shops tuning it in an hour. So how much did you guys pay to get a tune? Also what kind of HP number would you suspect i can get out of this setup? Can anyone point me in the right direction for a reputable tuner in Utah?
Thanks in advance
Austin

Prices on tuning can vary greatly across the states. The price will also reflect the experience of the tuner.

^ what he said..
most tuners around my neck of the woods are around 200 for the first 3hrs i believe(back when i had my honda 2yrs ago) and then after that if they weren't finished which usually they would be you pay an hourly rate..
but this was two years ago at the very least maybe even 3..so things could have changed.

Just grab a buddy and street tune it. It's an SAFC so tuning knowlege can be pretty limited. Just stay on the conservative side and you should be fine. $500 to tune an SAFC? Unless it's Justin Nenni tuning it I would pass
