I'm sure he already put this back together by now but here are the torque specs for the axle stubs. Also there is black grease the goes between the axle stubs and the axle shafts. Not really sure what it's for but it was there when I took my diff out to install a supra lsd. I put more back in when I reassembled.

The grease is from the differential.. I replaced my driver side rear axle because it was making a loud noise it’s been fine, but yesterday out of the blue I turned to go up the hill and heard a very loud clunky noise I thought I had a flat, but once I looked under the car my axle on my passenger side was hanging down, all the axle bolts the go into differential broke inside the differential.. any clue on how to fix this.. 1990 Lexus Ls400.
