well i tapped the positive terminal with electrical tape and used a bungy cord for now..ill get the correct piece after i pay all my bills to make sure im not negative money

Yeah, get the tie down... worst case scenario, like what mine was the battery fell into the pulley, and cut into the battery, causing acid to spew everywhere. I didn't realize this right a way... it was until my car wouldn't start.. and i popped the hood to see the gash in the battery. Then i tried to make it to autozone and my serp belt snapped 0_0. I guess the belt was already damaged from rubbing the battery. So yeah... secure the battery.
