Unhappy When doing 80mph...

well any amount of speed actually, if I let off the gas the car automatically decelerates. Basically I can't cruise! Anyone know what cause this?? I already changed the rotors, new pads, my bushings are bad though, could those be the culprits???

...decelerates like how fast?..every car is going to obviously slow down when u left off the gas..usually the higher you are up in the rpm range the faster it will slow down...

if there is no gas it will not keep a steady speed..

the culprit is your foot not on the gas.

Nah really? C'mon I know the difference! I'm saying when i get up to a speed where any other car would continue with gravity i can feel the engine making the car slow down! Almost as if i put the car in second gear and downshifted, not that severe but that! I put the car in neutral and it did what it was supposed to do which is cruise. Now do you get what I'm saying?

If me and another car were to start out at the same time and speed and let off the gas at the same time, I'm 100% sure the other car would roll further,?

Default Check e-brake

Jack up each wheel and spin. See if there is any drag. Pull on ebrake and see if it releases promptly.

My car does this too. I noticed going down a slight incline the car would slowly decelerate then. Don't know the culprit

i understand what your saying..and has it always been like this? just noticed it? had other sc's to compare it to..
just trying to make sure you realize not all cars will "cruise" the same..and just making sure its not you just thinking somethings wrong when maybe there isnt...thats all

All cars naturally decelerate. I think you might be high when you notice this effect of down shift deceleration and perhaps it just makes it seem more intense. Are you in a SC400 or 300? how high are your rpms when you left off the gas and are you on a inclining or declining road? What imDementeD said...the higher rpm range you're at the quicker it will decelerate till it downshifts and continues so on.

edit: was kidding bout that second sentence that stuff is not allowed of CL lol
