Default 20s without lowering car, why not?

OK.....some of you said a SC with 20s would look horrible without lowering it. Take a look at this car, I emailed the guy and he said there are no suspension mods whatsoever, looks pretty damn good to me........so what gives?
Im taking a lot of people said this without actually ever seeing 20s on an SC....

I've seen 20s on an unlowered car and in person it looks like an off-road coupe. Lowering the car tucks the wheels into the fender to compensate for this. A bodykit would help the aesthetics as well, but make sure you get a good eye level side-profile of a car on dubs without lowered suspension. Looks very peculiar to me.

Well thats why I am wondering....that one close up pic was of the front fender...and there didnt seem to be more than an inch of clearance between the fender and tire....and I would bet the rear probably is an inch or even less too.

I have seen MANY 20's on SC's...that guys suspension must be sacked out or he's lying or he doesn't know. It looks like it's a dealer so that wouldn't surprise me. "Only 102,000 miles.." hehehe...

Look at a bone stock SC...notice the wheel gap. Now when you put on 20's, you'll raise car another 1/2" and you'll loose about 1/2" of gap. So the car will look like a 4x4. Now on that guy's car (which has some GHETTO 20's BTW...KMC....HA!)..notice how small the gap is in the front...does that look 1/2" less than stock to you? Judging by the wheels, it wouldn't surprise me if they just cut the stock spring...

"BLING BLING!!!"...geez...talk about pathetic...

Hmmm....well they must have cut the springs or there was a really heavy guy in the car when they took that pic. Personally, if I were a dealer....wouldnt you advertise that it was lowered as that would be an upgrade? I would.....but obviously if I cut the springs I wouldnt....but its an SC, why would you do it?? Then again, its an Iowa used car dealer....prob. the only Lexus in Iowa....so who knows:P

Riding on 20's really kills the performance of the car. You can feel that the car is bogged down by the heavy rims. A reason why I didn't lower my car is having to face suspension problems later on. I have put some thought into lowering it an inch, but haven't decided. With 20's you have about a 1-in gap in the front, in the rear it's not too noticable. I rolled my fenders because it was rubbing when I go on high bumps. Not sure if my offset is correct or not. Too late now, I had them for over a year. I;m running on 245/35/20 P-Zero's (Niche Bella).

What are the consequences of lowering the car? Cambers out ? Axel?

Hmmm....interesting. So you also have no suspension mods and only have 1 inch gap in the front? See, again, how is this possible?
To all the guys who say it looks like a monster truck....be more specific, is 5 inches a monster truck, is it 4 inches, etc?
If you only have 1 inch in the front....maybe the front struts are shot?? I would not lower it anymore personally...that total slammed look....too rice. If indeed your struts are fine in the front, Id leave it.
