Default Foam filter intakes & oily MAFs

Well, I got bored today and pulled out my Weapon-R foam filter for a cleaning. It'd been in there for about 10,000 miles and it was very dirty. People have mentioned the possibility of oil leaking down the pipe and getting into the MAF. I checked the pipe and the MAF and they look and feel like they're brand new. There's no residue (or dirt for that matter) anywhere downwind of the air filter. There's also a solid velocity stack that sticks up into the filter housing itself that probably eliminates the chances of getting anything into the intake itself. So far, no trouble at all... just waiting for the clean filter to dry.
