Default My '92 SC300

Hey everybody,

I figured it was time for me to stop lurking and introduce myself. My name is Joel. I've had my SC for almost a year now. It's just a DD for right now while I'm working on other projects, but I have big plans for it that I'm going to get started on pretty soon. More about that later...

I've been Toyota crazy since 2003 when I got my '89 celica alltrac. It's currently down getting the motor built and a bigger turbo.

Then came my '85 cressida. I had big plans for this until I realized my money would be better spent on an SC. So it's just a daily beater for now.

Then I went half on an AE86 stage rally car with my buddy. This is where all my time and money has gone for the last year. We've got it pretty much sorted now so I'll have money to put in the SC.

And finally My SC. Kinda dirty but these are the best pics I have right now.

The SC will be going in for paint and body work in a month or two. Both rear quarters have damage and the paint is pealing of the rear bumper and a few other spots. Before that happens I need to decide on the color I want to go with and what body kit. Color and body kit suggestions are welcome. I will be going with one of the replica kits as it will probably get ripped off quite often. I plan on doing track days, drift, autox and maybe a little drag with it.

What do you guys think?

I love celicas...got a 94. As far as color and kits, Personally I've always wanted to paint my car brown and give it the gold treatment. Before you barf just remember the Subaru WRX STi with the same combo...just saying. A dark metallic Coffee with gold flakes and some bronze wheels would look good and unique.

For kits, i like the Shine kit.

Thanks Guys. I really love my Celica I just wish I could get it running soon, I have way too many projects in the way though so it's on the back burner.

I'm not too fond of brown cars... I bet it would look good, but not my taste. The shine kit is on the top of my list of options.

Stage rally is definitely the coolest thing I've ever done. Thanks, I really like how they look too, they make the car look not so crappy. The specs are:

Front: 19x8.5 +22 with a 25mm spacer
Rear: 19x9.5 +12

I'm jealous of the celica.. I keep trying to talk my dad into building one, but hes too set on building a 67 fastback time attack/autocross racer... But i love the volks on your car. Good stance.

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty happy with the Rim fitment, I just wish they were a little wider. I'm looking for some 18x10/18x12 for it. That way I can get rid of the spacers in the front and run some wider tires on the rear for when it get's boost.

Lol, yeah I have a toyota problem... I didn't even bother mentioning that I have a '88 alltrac and a '87 cressida as well, they're just shells though.

The stance looks good. I have always liked that color on the SC. How about some interior shots?
