Default New guy looking to get a SC300

Hey guys my name is Matt and I'm here looking to gain info on getting my first SC. I've done a good bit of reading so far and I've learned alot and I promise to not ask alot of questions that have already been answered. Some backround info on me is I've had a few sports cars before and currently have a built turbo miata I'm wanting to sell to get a 300. I was thinking for a while of getting a 240sx and putting an ls1 in it since that's my roots but a friend starting talking to me about the 2jz swaps they do and it made alot of sense to me and he owns a sc400 and it's a nice car and really reminds of my ls1 GTO I had. So now I'm going to try and pick up a decent sc300 and save up for a t67 na-t swap and th400. Hope to get to know some of you guys more and intersted in learning all I can

Welcome man, let us know if you need some help. There is too much knowledge in the forum. LOL. Well good luck finding one and post pics as soon as you get one.

Well, being in FL, you should just keep an eye out for a swapped one. They seem to be very cheap and plentiful down there. Lucky bums....

Matt.I am FL too. Sounds like you have a good plan. I bought a swapped 1JSC300 before and it always had issues (A/C, tach) the basic stuff. It is no issue when you first buy it and drunk off the boost. After awhile it began to wear on me. I plan on going NA-T with my current SC3. Gotta have that cruise control as well. Oh, get a 98 or above. I have had a 92/93/96 and now have a 99. love the slight interior differences (steering wheel/gated shifter) and no torn leather/crack window trim. The tail/fog lights are nice as well. Seems like a lot of pre-98 SC guys like to upgrade to the 98 body interior differences. I guess it is all up to preference. I will be looking out for your car. Might have some questions about your NA-t set up too.

I'm a DIY kindof guy and I'd rather get something cheap and tear into myself than buy someone elses headache. I like the pride of saying I built it myself as well. I've been looking at the driftmotion t67 kit and I really like it but I'm going to keep doing my research before I make any decisions

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've been searching a good bit the last few days but can't really come up with much for what most guys are doing for an exhaust manifold. I'm not sure if the cheap driftmotion is good to go with
