Default 1jz or 2jz in sc400?

i was jus wondering how much harder it is to do a 1jz or a 2jz swap in a sc400... jus wondering, i jus graduated high school so this aint comin any time soon lol

You're better off dropping a D16Y8 into your SC.

A good swap will cost less than $3000. THere is a thread on CL on step by step. My running partner had his done. AC don't work though. LOL.

lol.. im debating if i want to spend a lot of money on this car, mite sell it in a year or two and get a sc300

3k just for the swap labor.. not with the motor included, correct? - this is normally a pretty expensive swap.

then you got a lot more time to start searching



3k for motor+ labor?! if so thats pretty cheap then considering you went single..

it can.. but that's prob without rebuilding, w/o r154, piecing out a turbo kit, and all labor and mods done by the owner of the car.

i picked up a 2jzgte with a r154 for 2500

It's not downgrading if he already has the car but wants to go a different route to making more power. The 1UZ support is pretty weak compared to the 2JZ.

thats a weak excuse, there is plenty of support, its no more work to make power with a 1uz then a 2jz, or a 1jz.
