Old School SC400 Rebuild
#18
Finally I got car to the painter today. What a experience. Guy have shop 60 miles away from my house and he didn`t see car before. Estimate was based on the pictures, so once he saw car and me fun begun. Haggling and moaning over every single dent on the body, just like selling horses in the old country. Finally we have agreed on something I can live with and he is Euro craftsman that is hard to get in this part of the World. I do not have budget for top of the shelf paint job, but have feeling stuff turns out well. Anyway supposed to be ready 09-10. For now I will work on interior restoration.
Interesting links I found today:

On 9-16 finally back from the painter. I brought back bumpers and small parts first. I had to wait till weekend to have second driver to pick up the car.
Overall painter did decent job for the money.
I'm kinda difficult to impress as you can tell.
Car is also back.
Side shoot.

I had old window TINT removed and redone last weekend, that allowed me to reinstall the interior except for doors. Hit some setback with door latches that stop the progress. Already fixed left side latch (rod was bend out of shape by window going down with door handle removed for paint). Look like right side has to be replaced, it works intermittently. I need to source that part.
For now I took her for a ride w/o door panels like redneck.
Bunch of work left to do, but it is in drivable mode now
