We might be doing business my friend haha. although if the bottom end is in fact the problem then Id like to do a 2jz bottom end. I mean if I have to take it out anyway then why not right?

Similar thing just happened to my 1j but mine turned out to be toasted cylinders #2 & #5. Some one pulled my hoses from my boost controller at a car meet and on the drive home it over boosted and ran way too lean and there she went. I just got the head off last night. Since I need a new block, or some serious block work done, I think I'm just going to do the 2jz bottom like you want. Not trying to hijack your thread but I was looking around for helpful information on the mater. Good luck on your car.
