So I was leaving the local Starbucks after getting a coffee and gave it a little push. stopped about halfway through second. Then sitting at the light the car stumbles a little and dies. Go to crank it and notta. The suckers locked up tight. No fluids leaking on the ground... hell I only had it @ 12psi so it wasn't even pushing it! So I have no earthly idea what it could be at this point but I had it towed to work so tomorrow after work I'm going to do a little tear down to see what exactly went wrong. I really hope the block is the part that's toasted so I can do a 1.5jz. but well see. with my luck everything is ****ed and it will need a whole new motor. wish me luck!

before you start tearing stuff down look for obvious things. Try to turn crank from crank pully if you already havnt. And like stockhatch said, it could also be something on the tranny side such as your flywheel bolts came loose (very common) and a bolt may have wedged against the bell housing. Also take a look at the oil and see if it looks normal.

So did it make any noise, did the oil light come one, what does the oil look like, motors(bottom ends) dont usually just lock up tight without prior warning/noise.
Maybe the timing belt, timing tensioner bracket broke. Take the front cover off and check the timing belt you can see pretty far down with a flashlight.
Good luck!

First off, thanks everyone for the support and help! I got a little into it today. The timing belt is ok. no missing teeth or any signs of stressing or anything. pulled the valve covers off and plugs out and nothing looks out of the norm as far as the cams and valvetrain, and looking into the spark plug holes theres no crazy looking piston tops.. The engine doesnt turn in either direction by hand. I figure tomorrow after work I"ll pull the oil pan and see from underneath.. if nothing looks out of place then I'll pull the trans off and see if what you guys suggested happened with the flywheel bolts. But I remember using loc-tite on them when I installed the last clutch about 3k miles ago. I really hope its something easy like a loose bolt. fingers crossed!

That sucks, I was down at the lexus you work at yesterday getting some ATF and your coworker was telling me how he though he could run you in his 330i, looks like he'd definatly win now, hah.. On a side note, I have a 1jz sitting in my garage that I'm going to be selling soon, so if you need a cheap new motor, let me know.
