One of my previous cars was a 2004 GTO all blacked out emblems removed etc. At one point I was running open midpipes with a decent cam so it was loud and idled hard too. Pulled up to a gas station one night and a redneck leaned out his window and said
Redneck "hey nice care"
Me "thanks"
Redneck " Man what is that thing a Camry?"
Me "No it's a GTO"
Redneck .....??????......???????????
People asked if my turbo miata was a RX7 all the time

Today I was giving someone a ride at lunch to Mc Donalds and he said "oh man, Youve got a jag like Austin Powers". I'm assuming he's talking about a late 90s XK. Ill take it as a compliment though.

I always get 240 too. But it's funny when I drive people and they think it's a new car. Maybe it's my trusty new car scent air freshiner that throws them off.
I always get people asking me if i put a 2jz in my car. I have gotten tired of explaining that I do have one but it's a ge, and that theres difference with the ge and gte. Ugh...

i had a guy look at my car at a show and tell me that skylines look better with spoilers. i told him its not a skyline its a soarer. then he said "are you sure?" i said yes, i know what i drive. then left the conversation
