Cool About to be a new owner SC400

Picking up my first Lexus today. Am very, very excited. I am the luxo driver type and this car is perfect. Here is the deal I'm getting let me know what you think.

1995 SC400 167k miles Silver with black interior. $4000 (down from an already reasonable $4200)

Bad:
-power mirrors/antenna are INOP
-gorilla glue on the trunk -.-
-back driver rim needs to be replaced
-driver side tail light is fogged
-12 disc cd disk sleeve missing

The good:
-New hid headlights
-Runs great, engine/trans sound quiet and smooth
-Interior is perfect. Looks literally brand new in a 15 year old car, hands down the nicest interior I have seen in a long time
-0 squeaks rattles anything... steering is on rails and sublime as well
-really nice pioneer sound system (4 tweets/speakers/sub) which is a plus for me

Tell me what you think. Also it should be fairly* maintenance free right? These cars build quality is outstanding. I'm sure I will put a cai and hopefully something to beef up responsiveness in the 4spd auto.

lol.
that's 10x what I paid for mine (but I have 10000x more problems).
like any car, basic maintenance is a must; plugs, wires, caps, rotors, timing belt, ya-da-ya-da.

doesn't sound like a bad deal.
Where in OK?

I think what you pay for any SC is your business, cause you know how deep your pockets are and what the total outcome is going to be. I think you got a pretty good deal, for 95. JMO.

Welcome to CL!

Dont you know pictures of your new SC is mandatory with your first post? Let see them.

sc400's by nature are pretty maintenance free cars. my personal opinion is you paid a bit too much for that car. but if you like it and you can afford that then thats all that should matter. i picked up a 95 black on black sc400 everything worked perfectly except the power antenna. even the ac blew very cold. mileage was about the same and everything was bone stock. only thing that wasnt stock was the tires. paid $1600 canadian dollars for it.

Default Past life is important

Did you get maintenance records from the seller? Do you know the car's history? These are some of the determining factors when you buy an sc with their very common high mileage and helps to guage the cars worth. Otherwise it can be a crap shoot. Here's hoping your car and you are beginning a long, enjoyable relationship.

Mine was purchased in May 2009 with 174,000 miles for $2000 and I've spent another $5000 since then and loving it.
