Default clear or smoked tails

Has anyone purchased the clear or smoked tails off ebay? Yes I know they're ebay tails, but they aren't the cheesy altezza ones. Here's a couple examples. I'm just wary of the quality without seeing them in person.

I would go with the darker ones if you HAVE to have one of those.

You might be better off taking your car to a local body shop and having them black out your tails. I got mine done on my 93 and it looks great. If that's not an option for you, go with the darker taillights.

I have the red/smoke Ebay tails and they look awesome. Very understated I think. I kind of would like to see the red/clear, but I know I love mine. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. MUCH better than the 97 tails which everyone here loves.

I use to have the smoked version of these lights before I changed to '95 tails & haven't looked back. Anyway here is an old photo of them.

Clear. The whole smoked thing is overblown and way to accessible. Around here I see first generation Dodge Caravans with smoked tails

I also have 97 tails, but everybody seems to like my 93's way better. I plan to black out the reverse lights on my 97's and paint the rest of the taillight red.

Also, my black 93 taillights have blue LED's for reverse lights. It looks AWESOME at night!

That looks clean, especially on a black car. I'd be curious to see what they look like on a white car.

Oh and I should add the reason I want to do something with my tails, is the previous owner tried to use some type of film or paint on these tails. Now it's fading in spots and doesn't look very good lol.

I'd say smoke them out, and leave the red. Thats what I did, and I like the outcome of them. JMO
