if you cant get an answer here , go over to SF and ask there. But i know for a fact that the 6spd diff bolts up without the rear cross member but you'll need the axles too. hope that helps

i hear you, my has good amount of rust on it

would i be better off getting a mint SC rear cross member and just bolting it right up, instead of swapping over piece by piece

I forgot but there is a reason why people swap em. was it something to do with the rear swaybar? can't remember...

The entire rear subframe from a MKIV will bolt up. But it would be pointless. Pull the rear subframe, repair rust, replace bushings, swap in a new seals, and call it a day.

Clean up the rust and spray a sealer on before your preferred finish, that should keep the rust away. A wire brush and some labor should do the trick.

the supra and SC subframes are not the same. Some of the rear arms on the SC are longer for more suspension travel.

ScottRunot has the whole setup and in on of his build threads he explains and measures that they are different... basically the supra rear handles better.
