What ECU do i use?
hey planning a non vvt-i supra-gte swap into my 300 but im also guna be putting in a r154, just wondering wat ecu do i use
thinking probably a supra turbo 6-speed ecu, or the supra 5-speed ecu
i just dont know help me out if u can thanks

Why would he use an auto ECU for a manual car when he's doing a swap... lets think about this.
Solprps you will want to use a 6 speed ECU, ideally one matched up to the OBD compliance of your car. So if you have a 92-95 pick up a tt 6 speed OBD-I ECU. 96-97 an OBD-II ECU. The auto ECU will pull timing at it's shift points. No bueno
And no, you cannot use a 5 speed ECU as that is designed for GE electronics.
Whatever you decide I can get you an ECU for any of those options- but again I highly recommend using the 6 speed. The only reason why people have kept auto ECUs for 6 speed swaps is because they already had a GTE auto ECU installed and didn't feel like swapping it- it's not ideal but it is functional
