i noticed it there a while back and some guy trash talked you and said it "wasnt no 12 second car"

"One night at a local cruising hangout, (early on, ppl didn't know about the turbo) I had one guy come up to the car, look inside (saw nothing glovebox was closed), looked at front end (no FMIC) looked at exhaust side (stock tips), looked under front of car (saw nothing). I told him I had a few bolt-ons. He wanted me to start up the car, and drive around the parking lot, so I did. Exhaust is fairly quiet, sounds almost stock. I had no BOV just the Toyota ABV which recirculates and is very quiet. Since I didn't get on the gas, the turbo never spooled.
We proceeded out to the street, I gave him the nod, so that he could get the jump he needed, I launched soft through 1st, no wheelspin, gave up a car length, heard his chrip into 2nd, then dropped the hammer in 2nd pulverized him in about 2 seconds. We came back, I took his money.
Actually I only took $20 of his $50-- and told him he needed the money more than me. He said something about hearing some screeching around 40mph and thought that I was getting alot of rubber on the 1-2 shift. I told him there was no rubber on the shift--- it was just the turbo spooling near the top of 2nd gear. :eek: The car was an 89 mustang LX 5 liter with cold air box and exhaust.

Hello all you turbo owners, I was wondering how much miles do you get on a full tank? also how about the sc400 owners? I only get like 220 mpg... Is this normal?

I remember going there a while back, and it looked like all the facts were right, and the guy was talking about selling it for the same price you are, so i figured it was you tryin to sell it there.
