i guess the 1JZ uses a MAP Sensor to you think there's some way you can maybe put one of those into the system and take out the MAF issue

dont expect too many people reply in your thread. you should do a search before posting questions like these. i can remember at least 20 different threads talking about both subjects. use the search function and you'll get your answer. it also doesnt help that you didnt say what car and motor your asking the question about.

Im in a good mood, so this one is free.

BFI= Big Fu***** Intake. Easiest way to put it, cut a big hole in the front of your stock airbox exposing the front face of the filter. Search "BFI" and you will find pics.

As for your MAF, there are several ways. #1 get a JDM (all the JDM's are MAP based) swap, 1JZ or 2JZ. #2 convert over to a GTE (must be a JDM) ecu like I am in the process of doing. Or #3, go to maftpro.com and start reading about the translators.

Bottom line, is you need to search.

No problem. Also look into the GTE ecu, I have been slowly working on mine the last couple of days, and it just seems to simple to be true

what do you mean its too simple to be true
i mean im by far no electronics wiz but the way id imagine it to be would be you could get the ecu, the MAP sensor, and wiring and put it all together
but then again like i said i am absolutly no electronics wiz

you just use the existing harness. Ali-SC3(sp?) posted a little write up on whats needed and how its done. As I progress, I will be adding info to his thread for further details.
