pretty cool book, just read it, its got lexus history from toyota's early years up 2001, including japanese, uk, and u.s. model variations.
interesting production notes:
by 1998 production for the year of the GS was in the high 61,000 cars, and exporting was around 44,000 cars, while the SC's production figures were tiny: around 5000 production, and 3000 exported from japan.
the exports of the GS were strong in 1993 but then waned down to only a few thousand per year in the mid 90's but then skyrocketed in the late 90's, while the SC was strong in the early 90s and just died out after 1994 into the few thousands.
o well its nice to know i own only 1 out of around 5000(worldwide) made SC's for the 1998 production year. while if u got a 1998 GS, you are 1 in 61,000(worldwide)!
