Default oil leak behind plastic covers

i have a major oil leak behind the plastic covers on my 95 sc400. im thinking that its a crankshaft seal. the manual has a long and involved procedure to do this. is there a short cut to do this ,i dont have a lot of time till i have to have it running.

Follow the procedure in the manual. Short cuts will yield nothing the majority of the time, unless you want to do the same job twice.

Replace the cam seals while you're in there....water pump swap wouldn't be a bad idea either if the budget allows.

I second this suggestion. It might even be the cam seals that are leaking. The oil is just going all the way down the front of the motor. Take a really good look at your timing belt while you're in there too. Oil on the timing belt is bad.
