I'm not against rivets because like said once they are molded you're kinda screwed when they start to crack. The back of that read car just looks stupid IMO. All that wheel just to use a stupid amount of camber to just barely get the top of the wheel "flush"

Nope it's terrible. Being able to see the lip of the wheel where the bead is supposed to mate up is awful fitment. I understand tires bigger than 225s are slightly more expensive, but seriously if you can't afford a correctly sized tire you're in the wrong hobby. This isn't elitist, this is a fact- tires stretched to that point are a godawful mod that not only looks horrible but is detrimental to performance and safety.

Rivets for looks are a matter of opinion. Rivets on a 15 year old Lexus with a cage in it and a big turbo under the hood simply gives the car character.

Rivets on a Lexus (Toyota with leather ..Woohoo!!) is no dif than rivets on a nissan or whatever the hell. What certain people need to realize and ACCEPT is the fact that the SC3/400 is not much of a "luxry" car anymore in 2010. The damn car is old as fugg and has features that are not considered "luxury", by today's standards. Get real. All you "excuse me,...i drive a LEXUS" need to get over yourselves already. lol
And stretched tires DO serve a specific function; Drift guys run stretched tires for stiffer sidewall when sliding. Stretched tires look good when there's a reason for them to be stretched (ie: a car is so low that even with modded fenders, the wide wheels/tires would rub, and the owner refuses to raise his car, so skinnier tires get stretchd for clearance). But many people just do it for the trendyness of it.
If i have a 700hp monster..would i run stretcehd tires? -No. i'd get the meatiest 325+ tires i could find to help with traction. But 99% of the people running stretrched tires are not running 700hp or anything even remoatly close.

OP this is an endless arguement as you might have seen already. If you like rivets then go with them. Personally I myself will be riveting some flares on when I get further along for a comfortable fit for some big tires out back.
