If you unplug it, it wont affect the signal would it? kinda sick of the rc toy look.

I don't think so.. my antenna literally broke 3/4 of the way down and i unplugged it, and my radio works perfectly fine.. it might be because i got an in dash, but either way i don't think the antenna does much

After seeing that you had a carpc, i looked up to see how much it would be and they are in the upper thousands to 2 thousands? also without a dvd or cd function? can you explain to me what your setup is and how much you spent? a carpc would be something i would really like to put in my sc, but not for that price! lol

Back in the day I replaced my antenna on one of my other cars with a short stubby antenna off eBay. It was a whole replacement from the back of the radio to the actual antenna... it was like $25, but I can't find it or anything like it anymore.

Haha...knaw the carpc is not that expensive, especially in this day and age. Back like 5 to 6 years ago a carpc would have been pretty expensive (around 1000). Personally, I spent a total of around 700 for mine (that is including buying all new speakers, sub, install, and centrafuse software). If I wanted to connect a cd drive to the motherboard I always can, but I currently don't have one. Plus with centrafuse on a carpc you can have cd, dvd, bluetooth, gps, pictures, obdii, and so much more.

Believe me I'm just a college grad student with no job just trying to do what I can with my ride. If you want more specific information on my setup just let me know and I will be more than happy to share. Also if you have time check out mp3car.com which has everything and anything you could ever want to know about carpc's.
